Good Bye Tree

We were finally able to get the tree in the back yard taken down. It was a very large tree that was rotting at the top of the trunk where it branched out to the bulk of the tree. One good wind could bring it all down, so we did. Man my yard looks large without it and we get wonderful sunlight in the house (when we have sun that is)

Macie's intro to Kindergarten day

In June the school has a little kindergarten introduction day for the kids going into kinder in the fall. Macie was so excited to go and meet the teacher and see some of the kids that she will be in kinder with. She woke up early and wanted to go when she woke up. I told her we were going after lunch...she then told me she wanted a sandwich for breakfast. I told her she could have one for lunch...she said that was her lunch so we could then go to school. I had to tell her that eating "lunch" at 7 in the morning did not mean that it was "after lunch" when she was done. She was very sad.

Sports Day 2011

Here are some pictures from the kids sports day at school.

We were lucky this year that Bella and Nathaniel were on the same team so I didn't have to bounce between the two this year and miss half of the stuff. They were on the green team and this year green won 1st place.

During lunch we had ice cream sandwiches...they were very nummy...and Addie was having a hard time eating them...so we took pictures of the funny sight. she was not happy with that.

Macie at the end of the preschool race getting her ribbon. She loves the race and looks forward to it every year. I would have taken more pictures, but as my luck goes, the camera battery died and this was the only picture that I was able to take.

New Addition to the Family

This is our new little bunny "Buttons" She is a Holland Lop dwarf just like our other bunny Floppsy. She is very tiny and cute. So far we think she has the strong dwarf genes because we have had her for about 2 weeks and she has not grown any. Macie loves her to pieces and is always carrying her around...picking her up...playing with her...you know just over all pestering her...but Buttons just calmly takes it in stride. Very different from Floppsy. So far the two bunnies get along. It is actually funny watching them play.

Last Day of School 2011

So I sent Bella to school with the camera to get the year end pictures with the teachers. So Belle was the photographer for these pictures.
Bella was sad the last day of school because her teacher was leaving the school. She misses her teachers when they leave. This was the cake that she made for her teacher and the grade 7 students that were leaving

So I think that it is time to up-date the blog....I will work backwards starting from recent to older...so as you read it scrolling down it should be in order...in theory..hhehe...but I guess this post then should be posted last not first.....i will just put it at the beginning and the end. Here we go!

A Priceless Smile

There are now words...................................................................

Snow

So as you can see we have Snow again this year. We live in an area that is not suppose to get snow (at least that is what I am always told...or at least we don't get very much very often! well every year that I have lived here, we have had snow...and lots of it that sticks around for days....so don't believe the locals when they tell you we don't get snow!)

Anyways..my kids love the snow and head out to play in it as soon as they can...some times it is very funny to see how desperate they are to play in the snow. We will barely have a couple of cm's of snow on the ground and they are out there trying to build snowmen and toboggan hills....

the one thing that the kids hate about the snow is shoveling the driveway. We have a very steep driveway that when we get a little snow we need to shovel and salt right away or we can not get out of the driveway...oh and it's long too so it takes about 2 hours to clean off and salt....so it is not fun at all.....unless you are Macie, who plays while the other two work.

Macie's birthday

Macie was very luck this year. she was able to celebrate her birthday twice with friends. 1st was on Sunday when the Ochoas came to town and Lola and Tita were over. We had nice dinner and then a great cake that Addie made and decorated. Then Macie opened her presents. She was super excited!

Then during the week she was able to have another little party with some friends so she got a second cake (cupcakes actually) and was able to party some more.
